Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network and application infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances to ensure robust defense-in-depth.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including phishing attacks, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training to employees and document security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or network security role.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network protocols.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and security tasks.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
