Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and triage incidents with urgency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Analyze logs and network traffic to identify advanced persistent threats
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Strong proficiency in SIEM platforms and threat intelligence tools
- Certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC) preferred
- Expertise in network security protocols and firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
