In this role, you will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) by monitoring systems, analyzing security events, and assisting in incident response. We believe in investing in our talent, providing mentorship from senior engineers, and a clear path for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Perform daily vulnerability scanning and risk assessments to identify potential weaknesses.
- Assist in the triage and investigation of security incidents and breaches.
- Contribute to the development and updating of security policies and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and penetration testing support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI Model, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows command line interfaces.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings.
