Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor SIEM tools and network traffic to detect, analyze, and respond to security alerts and potential intrusions.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber attacks.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA by maintaining up-to-date security documentation and controls.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and phishing prevention.
- Tool Management: Manage and optimize security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CEH certification is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, Snort, and Nessus. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
