Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and threat hunting
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement security controls for network, cloud, and endpoint systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices across infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure during security incidents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
