Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems in real-time to detect and respond to potential cyber threats and breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure before malicious actors exploit them.
- Investigate security incidents, analyze logs, and coordinate incident response efforts to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff to foster a culture of security across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
