Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and conduct post-mortem analyses
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR standards
- Document security policies and procedures
- Provide security awareness training to staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of network protocols and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
