Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring: Utilize advanced SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike) to monitor network traffic and detect potential intrusions in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and vulnerabilities within the network.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Access Control: Manage and audit user access privileges, ensuring the principle of least privilege is strictly enforced.
- Penetration Testing: Collaborate with red teams to identify weaknesses in our systems and recommend patches.
- Security Awareness: Conduct training sessions and create documentation to educate staff on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CSSLP, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation and forensics.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure during a security breach.
