Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using provided enterprise-grade tools
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory standards
- Provide security awareness training to employees using provided training materials
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through provided research resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security principles
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced security operations environments
