Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions to ensure robust defense-in-depth.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, coordinating with IT teams to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and phishing mitigation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network defense.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, Wireshark, or similar SIEM platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
