Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions (EDR).
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Document security incidents, root cause analyses, and remediation plans for audit trails.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Current certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or system engineering.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, macOS).
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
