Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using company-provided tools
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts for threat intelligence analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and compliance
- Provide incident response support during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint detection tools
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure incident response scenarios
