Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems, networks, and applications for vulnerabilities, breaches, and suspicious activity using provided SIEM tools
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response to mitigate cyber threats
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with evolving threats and technologies through provided training resources
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using provided hardware/software
- Generate security reports and executive dashboards for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Industry certifications: Security+, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience with incident response protocols and threat intelligence analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
