Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security protocols to prevent data breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Document security incidents and create detailed forensic reports
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend defensive countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security frameworks
- Experience with incident response and forensic investigation tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid California driver's license (for on-site equipment management)
