The Role:
As an Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analyst, you will monitor systems for security breaches, investigate potential threats, and assist in the implementation of security protocols. This is an opportunity to start your career in a high-impact environment with industry leaders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct log analysis and triage security incidents to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform routine vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support under senior supervision.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records of security configurations and changes.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and remediate identified security gaps.
- Participate in security awareness training programs and ensure compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred; willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and common protocols (HTTP, DNS, FTP).
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows command line interfaces and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting security findings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving security threats.
