Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents, escalating critical issues to the SOC Lead.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to ensure system integrity.
- Manage user access controls and perform regular audits of permissions across the network.
- Maintain up-to-date security documentation and contribute to the development of playbooks.
- Participate in security awareness training sessions and simulations.
- Perform routine log analysis to detect anomalous behavior patterns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI Model, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and logs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
