Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and remediate risks.
- Investigate security incidents, document detailed findings, and coordinate effective incident response activities.
- Enforce strict security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management strategies.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to promote a culture of security across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security architecture.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, GSEC, or CCSP are highly preferred.
- Proficiency with security tools including SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), and SIEM platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
