Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze network traffic using SIEM platforms
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop security documentation including incident reports and policy updates
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening and compliance initiatives
- Stay current on emerging threats and attack vectors through research
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred in IT/CS
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 SOC environment
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications during employment
