Role Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the security posture of our organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and protecting sensitive data from cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to proactively identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs to ensure robust network defense.
- Enforce compliance standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR to ensure data privacy and regulatory adherence.
- Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting to minimize business impact.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and implement security best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CEH.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools such as FireEye, CrowdStrike, or similar endpoint protection platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
