The Role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will serve as the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will manage security operations, conduct investigations, and ensure our organization remains compliant with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation steps.Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure network infrastructure and applications.Document security procedures, incidents, and audit findings.Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related IT security role.Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.Strong knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN).Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
