Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Lead incident response procedures including containment, eradication, and recovery of security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and optimize network architectures
- Provide security awareness training to employees and conduct phishing simulations
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence through industry research and certifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat detection methodologies
- Experience with compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure situations
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass background check
