The Role:
We are seeking an individual who can translate technical data into actionable security insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security measures and respond swiftly to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM environment (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and anomalies in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches.
- Manage and maintain firewall policies, IDS/IPS rules, and access controls to enforce the principle of least privilege.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and HIPAA through regular audits and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch systems and remediate security gaps identified during routine reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity role.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, ArcSight) and endpoint protection solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting for automation and log analysis.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors (Phishing, Ransomware, APT).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
