Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity or information security roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and system hardening
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (if applicable)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
