Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively secure network boundaries.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data exposure.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to maintain network integrity.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or Information Security role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Experience with SIEM technologies and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
