Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic investigation, containment, and post-incident reporting.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of security across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CEH is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or network administration.
- Strong proficiency with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for security automation.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
