Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, HIPAA)
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC) preferred
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) or automation tools
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus
