Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-prem environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST/CIS)
- Lead forensic investigations for security incidents and create comprehensive reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+/CISSP/CISA certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) principles
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant/Recorded Future)
- Excellent written communication and analytical problem-solving skills
