Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security incident response plans and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, NIST)
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Manage security incidents using incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
