Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to incidents in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and incident response protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
- Perform forensic analysis on security incidents and prepare detailed technical reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols, threat intelligence, and incident response
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
