Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware outbreaks and breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security protocols to prevent unauthorized access
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Stay current on emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network monitoring
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts
