Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Lead incident response activities including threat containment, eradication, and recovery operations
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Analyze complex security data using threat intelligence and forensic tools
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification (or working toward)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and system architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
