Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate remediation across IT teams
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks)
- Collaborate with law enforcement during breach investigations
- Implement zero-trust architecture principles
- Provide monthly threat intelligence briefings to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on SOC analyst experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure security services)
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting
- Ability to work rotating shifts (24/7 operations support)
