Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-prem systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic analysis during security incidents and provide actionable recommendations
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate security events
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
