Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and investigate security incidents using SIEM tools
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on networks
- Analyze malware and develop countermeasures for emerging threats
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps
- Stay current on threat intelligence and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network protocols
- Experience with incident response and threat hunting methodologies
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid U.S. security clearance preferred
