Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premises environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze network traffic and logs for suspicious activities using IDS/IPS tools
- Stay current on emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CISM/CISA preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network analysis (Wireshark), and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and encryption protocols
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex threats clearly
- Remote work experience with strong self-discipline and time management
