Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks
- Provide on-site technical support for clients across Albuquerque metro area
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with team members to implement network upgrades and security patches
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and alert systems
- Train clients on basic network security best practices
- Assist with network capacity planning and optimization projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent technical certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 2+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Proficiency in Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred
