Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS) and analyze alerts for potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations and coordinate remediation efforts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry trends through continuous learning
- Provide security awareness training to employees as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with security tools (Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security concepts
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
