Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and respond to potential security incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and cyber-attacks
- Develop and implement security controls to prevent unauthorized access to systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry security standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security incidents, remediation actions, and maintain incident response playbooks
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
