Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalous activity
- Conduct threat hunting, forensic analysis, and incident response coordination
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediation measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Generate executive security reports and metrics for leadership review
- Stay current on emerging threats and attack vectors through continuous research
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required (CompTIA Security+ minimum)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders
