Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and coordinate incident response protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls to protect cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Generate comprehensive threat intelligence reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden network defenses and implement zero-trust architectures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network packet analysis
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting complex security issues
