Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and security alerts to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis of security incidents
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, PCI-DSS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security monitoring platforms
- Experience with incident response methodologies and forensic tools
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC) preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
