Role Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will monitor our network infrastructure, respond to security incidents, and ensure our compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure the integrity of our systems.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents, including forensic analysis and incident documentation.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and endpoint protection.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design secure network architectures.
- Manage compliance reporting for internal and external audits (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with security tools, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during security breaches.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
