Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk and QRadar SIEM platforms to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations including malware analysis and digital forensics
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, runbooks, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Qualys with remediation tracking
- Lead tabletop exercises and phishing simulations to enhance organizational resilience
- Stay current with emerging threats via MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure environments
