Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations, threat hunting, and root cause analysis for security incidents
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry trends to proactively enhance security posture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools and incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong analytical skills with experience in threat intelligence and malware analysis
- Excellent communication abilities for documenting findings and presenting to stakeholders
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
