Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security information/event management (SIEM) alerts to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to configure and maintain security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Create comprehensive security documentation and compliance reports for regulatory standards
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees across organizations
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in network security protocols and cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Excellent written communication for reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for incident response
