Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen defenses
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Provide incident response support during security breaches and cyberattacks
- Generate detailed security reports for leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM implementation
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, threat intelligence, and attack vectors
- Certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
