Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk and Sentinel SIEM platforms
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and breach scenarios
- Develop and maintain threat detection scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement NIST 800-53 security controls
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence reports for CISO stakeholders
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises and post-mortem analysis
- Stay current on emerging threats via MITRE ATT&CK framework updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure security services)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Strong written communication for incident documentation
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 SOC environment
