Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and network security policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development and deployment practices.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO, and HIPAA security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a significant plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
