Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic analysis to detect advanced persistent threats
- Develop and implement security controls across cloud and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Generate comprehensive incident response reports and remediation plans
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Valid US driver's license and ability to pass background check
