Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) to detect and respond to security incidents with SLA-driven triage
- Conduct forensic analysis of network intrusions using Wireshark and FTK Imager
- Develop/playbook MITRE ATT&CK-based threat detection rules
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement NIST 800-53 controls
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports
- Lead phishing simulation campaigns and security awareness training
- Manage vulnerability remediation workflows using Jira Service Desk
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations with hands-on incident response
- Certified CISSP or Security+ CE required (CEH/CISA preferred)
- Expertise in network security (TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) for automation tasks
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms ( Recorded Future/Flashpoint)
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
